The Lanciano Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation after the death of an 83-year-old woman yesterday, an hour after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
The vaccination took place in the San Vito Chietino outpatient clinic, in the province of Chieti, before noon. “After waiting a quarter of an hour, for any reactions, we set off again by car,” says Sonia, Celestina De Santis’ daughter, “but after a few minutes my mother felt ill. I alerted 118 who tried to revive her and took her to the emergency room at Lanciano hospital where I later learned that she had died.”

Il pm Francesco Carusi has instructed the coroner Domenico Angelucci to carry out the autopsy, which will be held on Wednesday 7 April at the Pathological Anatomy department in Chieti, to verify the causes of death and any correlation with the dose of vaccine administered.
The woman from #Madddaloni was in her ninth month and waiting to give birth. On October 9, she went to her trusted gynecologist, telling him that 48 hours later she would have the second dose of #Pfizer.
