Blue Channel debut with single “The Great Magician” ahead of duo’s “urban/neo-soul” album
Le Blue Channel They are Maria and Emanuela Negri, two sisters of Brazilian origin, born in 1997 and 1999 respectively.
Very young they moved to Italy integrating perfectly into the new social context in which they were lovingly welcomed and in a short time they developed their musical aptitudes. They studied and quickly learned Italian, English and Neapolitan; without forgetting their mother tongue, but above all jazz and gospel singing.
Blue Channel
The musical history of the Blue Channel is inextricably linked to that of the Salerno producer Massimiliano D'Alessandro, aka Max Dale. With him Maria and Emanuela began a training path that led them in 2018 to record their first songs at the Sound Club Studio to arrive at the present day with a mature sound that blends black genres such as Urban / R & B / Neo-Soul with minimal arrangements typical of German electronic sound.
The first single, titled “The Great Magician”, is available online from today. The song, with a Kubrickian flavour, opens by bringing to mind dreamlike and dark images. Already in the title, “Il Grande Mago”, the duo expresses the desire to connect with the world of mystery. But this first “dark” part is suddenly interrupted by Rap rhymes that give life to the theme of the “double”, very dear to the two protagonists. Through this dualism, both sonic and ethical, and in an ironic way they make fun of the Trap scene whose themes are too often represented in a superficial, sexist and value-free way.
