Covid, in Campania the index rises to 14%

The positivity rate continues to rise in Campania. According to data from the Campania Region Crisis Unit, in the last 24 hours there have been 846 positive cases (323 symptomatic) out of 6.505 molecular swabs examined. Yesterday the positivity rate was 13,89%, today it is 14%.

Yesterday in Campania, 872 antigen swabs were also performed. In today's bulletin released by the Crisis Unit of the Campania region 62 deaths are included, 41 of which occurred in the last 48 hours and 21 occurred previously, but recorded yesterday. The total number of deaths in Campania since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 5.587.

There are 1.380 new recoveries, with the total number of recoveries in Campania since the beginning of the emergency exceeding 250: there are 250.112 in total. In Campania, there are 160 Covid patients hospitalized in intensive care (one more than yesterday) and 1.603 Covid patients hospitalized in hospital wards (+4 compared to yesterday).

Following the collapse that affected some areas of Casoria, the Campania Region is taking extraordinary measures to ensure the safety of residents and protect evacuated homes. Leading the operation is Regional Councilor for Civil Protection Fiorella Zabatta, who emphasized the urgency of preventing looting that would harm affected families.
