Hospitalized since March 29th in the Covid ward of the “Rummo” hospital in Benevento, the former president of the Province of Benevento Claudio Ricci, 62 years old, died last night.
He had led the institution from 2014 until 2018, but in Provincial Council he was elected for the first time in 2008 on the Democratic Party list. Ricci was also mayor of San Giorgio del Sannio from 2011 to 2016 and was ready to run again to lead his municipality in the next administrative elections.

In San Giorgio del Sannio, a day of mourning has been declared for tomorrow on the occasion of the funeral, while at the Rocca dei Rettori in Benevento, the seat of the Province, flags have been flown at half-mast as a sign of mourning.
