Ventilators, beds and monitors donated to Piedimonte and Sessa Aurunca hospitals
The anesthesia and resuscitation departments of the hospitals of Glossop e Sessa Aurunca will be able to have access to new electromedical equipment from today, including pulmonary ventilators, beds and multi-parameter monitors, to better face this difficult phase linked to the Covid-19 epidemiological emergency.
The Board of Directors of the Intermunicipal Consortium for the distribution of methane gas "Campania 25", composed of the councilors Renato Ricca, Giovanni Leardi, Ermanno Masiello and Michele Santoro, last Monday and Wednesday, delivered to the directors of the complex operating units of the two hospital facilities in the Alto Casertano area, some latest-generation electromedical equipment and devices, purchased with the funds allocated by the Consortium in recent months, as part of the initiatives undertaken to support the territories included in its operational scope to deal with health emergencies arising from the spread of the Coronavirus.
In response to requests and indications received directly from the medical staff working daily in the two hospitals, on Monday morning, at the “San Rocco” Hospital in Sessa Aurunca, Vice President Ricca, Councilor Leardi, who strongly wanted to include the Sessa Aurunca health facility among the beneficiaries of the initiative, and the technical manager of the Metano Consortium, Armando Carlone, entrusted the head physician Domenico Bova and the anesthetist Domenico Santopadre with two lung ventilators that will be used to help patients hospitalized in the intensive care unit of San Rocco with breathing.
