The situation in the eastern outskirts of Naples continues to be alarming especially with regards to thewaste emergency. Ponticelli, in via Luigi Califano, in the area where a market area is being created close to the municipal park 'Fratelli De Filippo', as documented by a report from a citizen to the Regional Councillor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli, one can see how, while the road appears more or less clean, the land close to the road itself is completely invaded by waste.

"We have sent a note to the Municipality and Asia to understand the reasons for this situation. We have also asked for urgent remediation interventions and a schedule of ordinary interventions in the area in question and that there be checks during the opening of the market to verify any illegal discharges and severely punish the polluters so that this situation does not happen again in the future." - declared Councilor Borrelli.
