'Eroi', the new single by singer-songwriter Daniele Maria

“Eroi”, the new single by singer-songwriter Daniele Maria, will be released on Friday 8 April, distributed by Artist First and produced by Riccardo Ranzani, frontman of the Italian-Irish band “Strawman & Jackdaws”.

The text tells how “fragility” and “vulnerability” can be seen as strengths, because it is only through them that we can discover our weaknesses, thus managing to face them. “Disappointments, defeats, joys, are part of us like the eyes, the heart and the skin”.

The song is an alternation of sound moments where the energy of the beat intertwines with electronic rhythms and synths in a mix of urban, pop and indie influences.

“I wrote Eroi in a moment of fragility, I felt perpetually wrong, far from my loved ones, incapable of making a decision, I tried to exorcise this emotional condition of mine by writing this song”.

The words that make up the lyrics of the chorus, in a mix of self-irony and more reflective moments, best bring out the essence of this song: "we will grow up and we will carry the cuts and we will carry them on us like feelings of guilt because we are not Heroes".

Daniele Maria, originally from Palermo and adopted by Turin, has been living in Rome for almost four years where he began a collaboration with Riccardo Ranzani, the song's producer, and Stefano Canavese.

“Eroi” is a song in which the sense of youthful inadequacy emerges: sometimes we are in the right place, at the right time, and we don’t realize it because we feel inadequate”.

Biography

Daniel Maria Di Forti aka “Daniele Maria” born in Palermo, class of 96. As a child he moved to Turin with his family, the city that adopted and raised him. In Turin he began attending the first acting courses, his greatest passion besides music, for this reason he likes to define himself as a singer-actor. He began writing lyrics at the age of 14, approaching the hip hop scene, over the years he then experimented with urban, trap and indie pop sounds, until today, the “Daniele Maria” project. In 2020 he released the singles “Tabasco” and “Mamma mia che pare” and in January 2021 his first ep “Pianeta Sansa”. He collaborates with Riccardo Ranzani, producer and frontman of the Italian-Irish band “Strawman & Jackdaws” and Stefano Canavese (film maker / graphic designer and coproducer), director of numerous video clips of the Italian rap scene.
