“By June, July we want to complete the immunization of the city of Naples and make it the first of the large cities in Europe to be immunized.”

Thus the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, live on Facebook. “These are challenges that we must measure ourselves against – he added – the precondition is that we are given the vaccines”. The governor of Campania says he shares Draghi’s “cry of pain regarding some 30-year-olds who have leapfrogged older people in vaccination”.

De Luca to Draghi: 'Why 210 fewer vaccines in Campania?'

“Well with respect and paraphrasing Draghi's cry of pain, I turn to the Prime Minister and in turn say: with what conscience can you take away from the citizens of Campania a quantity of 210 thousand doses of vaccine? I hope that my cry of pain is heard,” he said on Facebook. “Conscience must always work, not in alternating current,” he added.

DE LUCA: 'IN CAMPANIA NO OVERRIDE OR AGREEMENTS WITH PROFESSIONS'

“In Campania we have not had any problems of particular incorrectness, in the sense that there has been no agreement with professional categories, or overrides with respect to the age group of over eighties, we have moved forward in complete tranquility and correctness”. The president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca during the Facebook live. “However – he added – still today Campania is the region that has received the lowest dose of vaccines in percentage of its population. Campania has received 22% of vaccines compared to the population, the last region in Italy. To date we have 210 thousand vaccines less than we should have, 9 thousand less than Emilia Romagna which has 1,3 million fewer inhabitants than us, 250 thousand less than Lazio, half the vaccines of Lombardy”.

In Campania, the vaccination campaign, after completing the categories of the frail and the elderly, will proceed "by economic categories not by age groups". The governor of Campania, Vincenzo De Luca, announced it live on Facebook. Among the priorities, De Luca identifies "local public transport workers, municipal employees, postal workers, supermarket clerks".

de luca: 'WHY ARE WE STILL IN THE RED ZONE?'

According to the governor of Campania, Vincenzo De Luca, the criteria used to determine the 'colors' of the Regions are "crazy". "Here in Campania we have an occupation of intensive care units at 26%, in Emilia 48% and yet they will tell us that we are in the red zone - they explain - the occupied hospital beds are at 37%, in Emilia 59%, in Lazio 50%. I give you this data to underline the insanity of the criteria". "If people see that everyone is out on the streets without controls and then the barber closes, they are right to get angry - he underlines - I express my solidarity with the anger, with the revolt, certainly not with the violence".

De Luca: 'Campania is the region that receives the fewest doses of vaccine in proportion to its population'

"The Campania Region has exceeded the threshold of one million doses, almost 40 percent have also had the double dose. I believe we are moving forward in an important way. I must say that in Campania we have not had any problems of particular incorrectness, there has been no agreement with professional categories or overrides, we have moved forward in complete tranquility. And yet even today the Campania Region is the one that has received the smallest amount of doses in relation to the population, we have received 22 percent, we are the last Region in Italy". De Luca said again.

DE LUCA: 'FROM MAGGIO CARD TO VACCINATED PEOPLE FOR ENTRY TO RESTAURANTS AND SPORTS FACILITIES'

“From May we will give everyone who has had the double vaccination a vaccination card, this is because we would like to try to allow selected access to restaurants or sports facilities for those who certify that they have already been vaccinated”. And then he added: “we have distributed over 220 thousand vaccination cards. We are trying to do everything we can to keep together the activity against Covid and the initiative to give breath to the economy and social life of our territory”.

“We have made a contract with the producers of the Sputnik vaccine, open heavens, the amount of bestiality on the legal and political institutional level, without limits”. Thus the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, during the usual Facebook live on Friday. “We learn in these hours that Bavaria, among the richest regions of Germany, makes the contract for the supply, Austria is worrying about getting supplies of Sputnik. With what conscience do we tolerate that Aifa continues to sleep in Italy instead of evaluating the vaccine in a few weeks, deciding yes or no. With the emergency we have, with the shortage of vaccines, we are making the Italian drug agency sleep. It would not be the right of the government to summon the Aifa managers and say 'dear gentlemen, evaluate the available vaccines in a few weeks, not biblical times”.
