“Our bishop Pietro, together with the Caserta clergy and family, announces the entry of dear Monsignor Pietro De Felice on the Sunday without sunset and raises, together with the entire Church of Caserta, fervent prayers to the Lord of Mercy so that He may grant his faithful servant the reward of the just”.
This is the message that appeared on the Facebook page of the Diocese of Caserta through which the death of Don Pietro De Felice, chancellor of the Curia of Caserta and priest of the church of San Biagio in Limatola and of Sant'Eligio di Limatola, in the hamlet of Biancano, is communicated.

Don Pietro's heart stopped last night. He had been hospitalized for days in the Intensive Care Unit of the "Sant'Anna e San Sebastiano" hospital in Caserta. He had undergone a delicate ten-hour operation for an aortic arch aneurysm. His health conditions, however, had immediately appeared very critical: he was on dialysis, had a high fever and was in cerebral distress.
Don Pietro De Felice, from Casagiove, would have turned 65 next May. A priest since December 2, 1980, he led several religious communities in our province: including that of San Michele Arcangelo in Casertavecchia. But he was also parish priest in Sommana, Pozzovetere and Casola di Caserta. He held more institutional roles such as chancellor and judge of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the Diocese of Caserta.
