Naples, yet another robbery against a rider. The victim: "So scared because of the gun pointed at my face. Between sacrifices and risks, to move forward honestly it's really hard, help me".
“Saturday evening saw yet another robbery involving a delivery driver. Once again, a scooter stolen with a gun pointed at the forehead of someone who works honestly. Another young twenty-year-old deprived of a job, of confidence in the future and of the prospect of being able to live honestly. It is truly unbearable what is happening almost daily to the detriment of these young workers who risk their safety at every moment. This time we are not talking about peripheral areas or nighttime hours when no one is around. According to what was reported to the Carabinieri according to the victim, the robbery took place at 20,15pm in the hilly area of the city.

The time has come for a decisive response from the institutions. These criminals must be given severe penalties, because denying a future to those who do everything to earn money legally is a very serious crime. It is not just about stealing goods, but about taking away the trust of those who want to live honestly in a beautiful and difficult city like Naples. At the same time, it is necessary to protect these kids as much as possible, with contracts that guarantee at least essential rights so that all the risks are not unloaded on them. Now we must help Luca in every way possible. Anyone who saw something should report it, even anonymously, to find their scooter”. These are the words of Francesco Emilio Borrelli, Regional Councilor of Europa Verde, and the radio host Gianni Simioli, who received the request for help from Luca Maraucci, victim of the robbery.
"I was so scared when I saw that gun pointed at my face. I love my city, but when these things happen I want to leave Naples - says Luca Maraucci, the boy who was robbed - I'm certainly very angry and bitter, also because the companies we riders work for don't protect us in any way and the sacrifices we have to make every day to get by honestly are so many. All the expenses and all the risks are ours to earn less and less. So it's difficult for everyone to get by".
