Naples, the mystery of the street benches relocated to the edge of the sidewalk in via Santa Brigida

In Naples in St. Brigid Street with benches installed on the sidewalks have been moved from their original point to a new location much closer to the edges, near the roadway, as reported by a citizen to the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.

“The productive activities commission had requested a reorganization of that sidewalk because it had been reported that, due to the restaurant tables, there was no passage for pedestrians with wheelchairs and for the disabled, but after having done some research I learned that it was neither the Municipality nor the City that relocated the benches in that way. We will have to investigate.” – explained Benedetta Sciannimanica, councilor of Europa Verde of the Municipalities I.

“We have sent a note to the office of street furniture of the Municipality to verify if they are aware of it and to the Municipal Police to clarify the issue and carry out checks, we would not like it to be the initiative of some private individual who has moved them at his own pleasure.” - concluded Councilor Borrelli.
