Naples, a few steps from Palazzo San Giacomo a dilapidated and unsafe building. The alarm of the residents: "A situation that has been going on for 15 years, no one has ever come to do an inspection"
Reports from citizens continue to arrive to the Regional Councillor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli regarding the dilapidated and unstable conditions of a building located in Via Paolo Emilio Imbriani at number 43, a few steps from the municipal offices of Palazzo San Giacomo.
“This structure has been in this condition for at least 15 years and we have been reporting it for a long time but no one has intervened yet. We contacted Councilor Borrelli in February and a note was sent to the technical offices of the municipality but to date no one has come forward to inspect the site. We are very worried, in Vico Corrieri, one of the streets on which the building faces, limescale continues to fall. It is only a matter of time before there is a collapse. We are asking that technicians from the municipality come to carry out checks and secure the structure before something serious happens.” - says a representative of the residents of Vico dei Corrieri who contacted Councilor Borrelli.
"Even if it cannot be seen from the outside, the building has significant critical issues, also due to the total lack of fixtures and, especially in the upper part, the masonry is crumbling and could cause a copious fall of debris with serious consequences for the citizens. For this reason we have asked the Municipality again to intervene promptly." - explains Borrelli.
"I think it's absurd that all this is happening just a few steps away from the Town Hall. The city is falling apart and we continue to persevere in inaction. It's time to give concrete answers to citizens' reports" - concluded Salvatore Iodice, councilor of Europa Verde of Municipality II.
