A ready-to-fire pistol and over 2 kilos of drugs were seized during a check by the Carabinieri in the Traiano district.
I police of the Bagnoli Company, together with those of the Investigative Unit of Naples, the Campania Regiment and the Canine Unit of Sarno, as part of a territorial control service arranged by the Provincial Command of Naples, checked 76 people and 43 vehicles.
The focus is on the Traiano district where a heavy blow was inflicted on local drug dealing areas: Via Catone is the street where the greatest efforts were concentrated. 260 grams of cocaine, 290 of marijuana and 1 kilo and 400 grams of hashish were seized.

The drugs were hidden in garbage bins and inside some plastic pipes for sewerage or construction. During the service, inside a meter compartment, a Beretta 98FS pistol cal 9x21mm with erased serial number, complete with magazine, was also found. The weapon will be subjected to ballistic tests so that it can be matched to any bloody facts or intimidation.
Sanctions were not lacking: 8 people were fined for violations of the anti-contagion legislation. 6 were reported to the prefecture as drug users.
