The 21 people arrested this morning in Naples, linked to the Sibillo clan, are considered to be, in various capacities, participants in that satellite branch of the Contini clan, known as the 'Paranza dei bambini'.
A group that did not act autonomously, but in fact acted as bodyguards for the Contini clan. In recent years, in the 'children's feud', the Sibillo did nothing but conduct a low-intensity clash between the Secondigliano Alliance and the Mazzarella cartel, to strengthen their respective presences in the border areas, particularly Forcella. The Mazzarellas used the Buonerba group and the Secondigliano Alliance used these violent young men, who have always performed a function, as the investigators are keen to point out, "in conditions of absolute subordination".
According to the investigations of the Carabinieri and DDA, the victims of extortion in the Forcella area, in the center of Naples, were forced to pay weekly installments and, even at Easter, 500 euros. In one specific case, the victim was forced to kneel before the statue of the baby-boss Emanuele Sibillo, but all the blackmailed merchants were summoned to the "palace of the good soul". The investigations revealed that men from the criminal group carried out real patrols in the access roads to the neighborhood and that, even, some Army soldiers, involved in the "Safe Streets" operation, were approached by armed people.

The Secondigliano Alliance, a federation of the Contini, Mallardo and Bosti clans, according to the Naples prosecutor's office, is active wherever it senses a 'deal' and is taking over business activities in this time of post-pandemic crisis. A cartel that has been under the radar for years and now has criminal 'ribs' scattered everywhere, such as the Sibillo, dismantled today, and considered a satellite group of the Contini, with the Mazzarella clan among the most important in Campania.
