Over 160 anti-covid sanctions in Naples and its province

The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples between Friday and Sunday checked 1619 people and commercial activities between the capital and the province.

A total of 162 fines were issued, not only for "anti-Covid" measures but also for drug dealing, cigarette smuggling, and gambling. The checks primarily focused on Naples city center, following decisions by the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, specifically on Via Toledo, the Lungomare, Via Partenope, Via Chiaia, and the Decumani. Checks were also conducted at sea in the waters off Mergellina and Santa Lucia. More specifically, the unit, composed of the Rapid Response Group and the First Group, supplemented by reinforcements from the Torre Annunziata and Giugliano Companies, resulted in fines being issued in the city, including those in the Montecalvario, San Ferdinando, Chiaia, Posillipo, and Scampia neighborhoods, against 34 people who were not wearing masks, were found on the streets without valid reasons, or were outside their municipality of residence or domicile.

The “Baschi Verdi”, alerted by some citizens during public order services, stopped a Sudanese citizen in via Toledo who was pushing passers-by, harassing them and insulting them; the same was reported for illegal immigration, violence and resisting a public official, as well as sanctioned for violations of the anti-contagion legislation. Even in the immediate vicinity of the port area, the Group II has fined 48 people caught on the street without proven reasons, outside their municipality of residence or during the curfew. Other anti-covid sanctions to people and businesses also in the province, between Portici, San Giorgio a Cremano, Caivano, Giugliano in Campania, Qualiano, Pozzuoli, Quarto, Baia, Castello di Cisterna, Pomigliano d'Arco, Palma Campania, San Gennaro Vesuviano, San Giuseppe Vesuviano, Torre Annunziata and Torre del Greco.
