In particular, inside the Mugnano market, two entire pallets of mussels and clams were found without any documentation attesting to their origin and traceability, as well as compliance with health regulations and some specimens of frozen swordfish in a very poor state of conservation. Fines for companies ranging from 750 to 4.500 euros. Health checks aimed at certifying fish species and their possible suitability have given negative results and have not provided a sufficient guarantee of freshness and wholesomeness for human consumption. The checks will continue to reconstruct the commercial chain and trace the suppliers who supply the fish markets illegally.
