Fipe Confcommercio presses the Government: 'Immediate reopening of all public establishments'
A certain date for the restart and a plan for the economic recovery of public establishments. The representatives of Fipe will forcefully ask the Government tomorrow morning in Rome Confcommercio on the occasion of the extraordinary assembly that will take place starting at 11 am in Piazza San Silvestro. The Caserta delegation will be led by Giuseppe Russo, provincial president of Fipe (Italian Federation of Public Establishments) Confcommercio Caserta and vice president fipe Campania. 'It is unacceptable that today - declares Russo - production activities still do not know when they will finally be able to reopen to the public.
Bars, pizzerias, restaurants have been working in the red zone for months now, with all the limitations that this entails, and being able to rely only on delivery and takeaway which have also recorded a sharp decline compared to previous months due to the economic crisis and delays in providing compensation. We need clear and immediate answers.' The spotlight is on the category's discontent triggered by the anti-Covid restrictions and the limits of the Sostegni Decree which have led to huge losses in turnover: 'We do not agree with the method adopted for the distribution of the funds, which are also particularly small, provided for public establishments - Russo insists - the State should favor the activities that are in lockdown.
I would like to point out that in Campania in the last six months, except for a brief period at the beginning of the year, we have always been in the red zone, working at almost 30% of our possibilities. In light of all this, we therefore ask the Government to change the criteria for providing compensation and to take action to consolidate tax credits on commercial leases, guarantee a broader moratorium for those who need a loan and ensure a significant reduction in taxes (particularly that on waste). Only in this way will it be possible to avoid further bankruptcies and reduce the jobs at risk.
'We are close to restaurateurs - says the provincial president of Confcommercio Caserta, Lucio Sindaco - and we express our full solidarity for the difficult moment they are experiencing. The public establishments sector is in fact one of the sectors most affected by the consequences of the Covid emergency. The prolonged closures have brought thousands of businesses to their knees, many of which will probably no longer be able to restart. However, we are also aware that, until infections decrease and the number of vaccinated people increases, it will be difficult for the Government to have the necessary tools to guarantee a safe reopening of production activities. Hence the call for a sense of individual responsibility and respect for the rules, so that each of us can provide our own contribution to resolving the emergency which, it is worth remembering, is first and foremost a health emergency'.
Naples - In the heated debate over justice reform, Nicola Gratteri, Naples's public prosecutor, intervenes forcefully. In an interview with Corriere della Sera, the magistrate describes a shift he calls "dangerous," explaining that the separation of careers would represent only the first stage of a broader project: "The next step –…
Naples – "This is an irresponsible act, a disgrace, a case of political delinquency." This was the harsh commentary by the President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, on the Ministry of Health's decision not to authorize Campania's exit from the healthcare deficit reduction plan. A decision that, according to the governor, was premeditated: "We were talking…
Pozzuoli – "The government continues to ignore local authorities, committees, associations, and citizens, demonstrating unacceptable indifference regarding a sensitive issue like bradyseism." This was denounced by Five Star Movement MP Antonio Caso, representing the Phlegraean Fields area. "We are working collaboratively with the local authorities to propose concrete solutions, but the government continues to appear…
