He was illegally producing marijuana: 300 kilograms seized

A large quantity of marijuana, ready to be destined for the illegal market, was discovered and seized in recent days by the Green Berets of the Aversa Emergency Response Company, inside an agricultural shed located in the countryside of Santa Maria la Fossa, in the province of Caserta.

It concerns over 300 kg of cannabis inflorescences (market value approximately 3 million euros) already packaged in heat-sealed cellophane bags of one kilo each, which the owner of the company, MS, twenty-eight years old with a specific police record, had illicitly produced in a real laboratory equipped for the entire processing cycle of the narcotic substance (cutting and selection of the inflorescences, drying through the use of special fans up to the relative packaging).

In fact, despite the attempts made by the person in charge to demonstrate that the cultivation and processing of marijuana were regularly authorised and within the terms of the law, the documentary checks carried out by the financiers they certified the absence of such requirements and the subsequent chemical analyses on the samples taken carried out by the laboratory of the Customs and Monopolies Agency of Naples highlighted the presence of an active ingredient (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol commonly known as THC) exceeding the maximum limit permitted by the Consolidated Law on Narcotics.

In light of this evidence, the magistrate on duty at the Public Prosecutor's Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere ordered the denunciation at large of MS for the crime of production, possession and illegal trade of narcotic substances, also ordering the seizure of the entire area.

Furthermore, thanks to further investigations into the tax position of the reported individual, it was ascertained that his family unit was receiving the citizen's income, for which reason the Judicial Authority and the competent INPS offices were involved for the foreseen criminal sanctions, the immediate forfeiture of the benefit and the recovery of the sums unduly received in the meantime.
