The blockade of market stalls on the A1 motorway continues
It goes ahead, near the CASERTA Sud toll booth of the highway A1, the protest of about 200 market traders, but among them there are also operators of fairs and festivals, who blocked the circulation with vans and cars. The State Police is mediating, on site with a Digos official from the CASERTA Police Headquarters. The objective of the protesters, adhering to the Ana-Ugl acronym, is to reach the Capital. The repercussions on vehicular traffic are enormous, with an entire stretch closed in both directions, between the CASERTA-Salerno junction (located just before CASERTA Sud) and the Acerra-Afragola median axis, a few kilometers from Naples.
"We are protesting because we can't take it anymore - says Peppe Magliocca, president of Ana-Ugl of CASERTA - we have been in a bad situation for a year; we know we are creating problems for many citizens, we apologize to them and also to the police, but we can no longer go on like this without any kind of support and without being able to plan anything". The operators left mostly from the weekly market of Maddaloni (CASERTA), others from Naples and San Giuseppe Vesuviano. In Campania only operators who sell food can work in the fairs; however, they also joined the protest this morning.
