Another rider victim of violence, this time it happened in Veneto, in Verona.
Michele Dal Forno is a RIDER 21-year-old who was disfigured on Saturday, April 17 in Verona for intervening, after a delivery, in defense of an acquaintance who was being harassed by two minors. One of the two minors, a 16-year-old, took a knife out of his pocket and stabbed Michele under the eye, causing a wound that required 50 stitches.
The owner of the pizzeria where the young man works has started a fundraiser to allow Michele to receive adequate care.
"The fact that the episode occurred outside our territorial borders does not prevent us from expressing our opinion on the matter and offering our solidarity and support to the young rider as well as to the entire category, too often mistreated, abused and victim of violence and crime as we have always maintained as in the case of Gianni Lanciato attacked by a gang of criminals last January at Calata Capodichino to steal his scooter. Riders need greater protection and more guarantees.
This is why we are supporting the fundraiser for Michele so that the boy can be properly treated.” - the comment of the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli and the radio host of La Radiazza Gianni Simioli.
