Car crashes into pine tree on via Epitaffio: 25-year-old girl dies
Maddalena D'Anna, a resident of Latina but originally from the province of Caserta, lost control of the vehicle.

A dramatic road accident occurred around 21pm last night on via Epitaffio in Latina. A Lancia Ypsilon went off the road, crashing into a tree, one of the pines on the edge of the road.

The 25-year-old lost control of the vehicle for reasons yet to be ascertained, perhaps due to the asphalt made slippery by the rain. The police and 118 paramedics immediately arrived at the scene of the accident.

Unfortunately, however, the rescue efforts proved useless: the impact against the tree was too violent and the injuries sustained in the impact with the shrub were too serious. There was nothing that could be done for the girl and the doctors who rushed to the scene could do nothing but confirm her death. The young woman worked in a retirement home in the province of Latina. The Police is working to reconstruct the dynamics of the crash, in which no other vehicles were involved.
