Somma Vesuviana: Checks and searches and the Prefect arrives at the municipality
A Somma Vesuviana anti-drug searches are underway by the Carabinieri of the Castello di Cisterna Company. The wide-ranging service – ordered by the Provincial Command of Naples – is spread throughout the city. The military of the Arma will target the most crowded squares and streets and the “popular” areas. During the service – also aimed at verifying compliance with the anti-contagion rules – the commercial establishments present in the area will also be checked.
In the morning, the Prefect of Naples, Marco Valentini, went to the Municipality of Somma Vesuviana for an institutional visit.
The Prefect was welcomed by the Mayor, Salvatore Di Sarno and by representatives of the Council and the Municipal Board with whom he addressed the most relevant issues of the city area of reference, located in the heart of the Vesuvius National Park, of ancient origins, also attested by numerous archaeological finds.
In particular, topics related to the public order and public safety situation in the reference area were discussed - recently the subject of repeated joint control services between the State Police, the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza with "High Impact" mode, the last of which took place today, aimed at preventing and combating all forms of illegality - to the strengthening of the city video surveillance system and to the financial situation of the Authority.
Subsequently, the Prefect visited the Carabinieri Station of Somma Vesuviana, meeting the personnel involved daily in the territory.
