The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, within the framework of monitoring the state of urban security operated through the Observation Tables chaired by the Prefectural Authority, has planned a “High Impact” operation in the VI Municipality of the capital.
The checks involved the Barra, Ponticelli and San Giovanni a Teduccio neighborhoods, in particular via Nuova Poggioreale, via Cupa del Principe, via Argine, via delle Repubbliche Marinare, via Don Agostino Cozzolino, Rione De Gasperi, via Camillo De Meis.
88 checks were carried out on vehicles and people: 13 illegal situations were detected, including reports to the Judicial Authority and notifications to the Prefecture, for smuggling, drugs and counterfeiting.
In particular, the "Green Berets" of the Emergency Response Group and the financial police of the 2nd Metropolitan Operations Unit, supported by two canine units, one of which is from the Capodichino Company, seized 2 kg of contraband cigarettes, approximately 13 grams of hashish and marijuana already divided into doses and several dozen counterfeit items.
Also seized in the Ponticelli neighborhood were 29 grams of “mannitol”, a particular drug used to cut cocaine, particularly harmful to health because it creates a more intense addiction, cleverly hidden in a crack in a wall facing the street.
The intervention is part of the constant activity of general prevention and economic control of the territory carried out by the Neapolitan Fiamme Gialle, in order to counter widespread illegality phenomena especially in the most critical areas of the city.
