Differentiated waste collection in Caserta: night collection, ecological islands open also on Saturday afternoon
Caserta. “A new collection which updates and improves what has been done in recent years with the aim of giving further impetus to a fundamental service for the city. The aim is to increasingly increase the quality and percentages of recycling of urban waste, but also to optimize the collection methods to meet the needs of citizens”.
Mayor Carlo Marino said this, commenting on the launch of the new service managed by Ecocar that includes some changes: starting from May 1st, collection will be carried out in most of the city during the night so as not to affect traffic; starting from May 8th, the ecological islands will also be open on Saturday afternoons from 15 to 18 pm; the replacement of all damaged bins has begun.

From next May 15th there will also be important changes to the waste disposal calendar (as per the attached poster) with undifferentiated waste reduced to just one collection day and the simultaneous doubling of the days dedicated to multi-material.
A new dedicated collection service for “diapers and incontinence pads” is also planned (3 days a week), upon reservation by telephone or email.
