Naples, A heavy blow to the “Cutolo” clan. Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Naples execute 12 precautionary measures
From the first light of day the police of the provincial command of Naples are executing an order for the application of personal precautionary measures, issued by the investigating judge of the court of Naples at the request of the district anti-mafia directorate of Naples, against 12 people believed to be affiliated with the Camorra group "Cutolo", rooted in the Rione Traiano, a neighborhood on the western outskirts of the city. Among those arrested are also members of the "Sorianiello" clan.
The suspects are seriously suspected of association for the purpose of drug trafficking, possession and sale of narcotics, attempted murder and illegal possession of weapons.

The investigations, conducted by the Carabinieri of the Naples investigative unit and the Bagnoli Company and coordinated by the Naples DDA, have allowed to document and reconstruct the activity of the criminal group, under the influence of the historic cartel of the Secondigliano Alliance.
The precautionary measure was issued following a complex investigation, carried out by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit and the Naples – Bagnoli Company and coordinated by the DDA of the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, which is part of a broader strategy to combat Camorra groups operating in the Flegrea area, under the influence of the historic organized crime cartel called Alleanza di Secondigliano. The evidentiary data supporting the issuance of the precautionary measure have allowed us to reconstruct the existence and operations of the Camorra group led by CARRA Gennaro, CUTOLO Vincenzo (son of Salvatore and OSTINATO Giuseppina) and PIETROLUONGO Francesco in the territorial area of Rione Traiano, shedding light on the dynamics and purposes of the association (drug trafficking and extortion), as well as on the methods of managing the "common fund", also functional to the maintenance of detained members and their families.
In particular, a consolidated system of supply and distribution of narcotic substances was reconstructed which, through the management of the "drug dealing areas" located in the Traiano district, allowed for the retail sale of large quantities of drugs (cocaine, marijuana, hashish).
The precautionary measure also examines the evidence collected to support the responsibility of the suspects, members of the aforementioned Camorra group, for the attempt to kill MINICHINI Francesco, as he belonged to the opposing criminal group headed by Marfella Giuseppe, to be placed within the scope of the armed conflict between the two Camorra organizations for the control of illegal activities in the Rione Traiano.
Among those arrested are MAZZACCARRO Giuseppe, a leading member of the Camorra group headed by the Sorianiello family, as a supplier of narcotics active in the Rione Traiano, OSTINATO Giuseppina, spouse of CUTOLO Salvatore, historical and undisputed leader of the CUTOLO group, and CALONE Antonio (known as “Tonino di Posillipo”), who joined the group attributable to the CUTOLO family with a leading role, while maintaining criminal control of the Posillipo district.
