Naples, 190 thousand euros seized from 14 “citizenship income cheats” relatives of people convicted of Camorra.
The Public Prosecutor's Office Napoli Nord, as part of the investigations it is conducting into the illicit receipt of citizen's income, has requested and obtained from the investigating judge the issuing of preventive seizure orders for the sums received by 14 people in the period between April 2019 and April 2021.
In particular, the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, which had been delegated for the investigation, ascertained that in the families of the suspects there were individuals convicted of the crime of Camorra association, a fact that prevents the receipt of the citizen's income.
The judicial police this morning executed the seizure orders, carrying out 14 house searches against the suspects and seizing 190 thousand euros and the prepaid cards used for the disbursement of the benefit. The searches and seizures were carried out in various areas of the northern area of the province of Naples, including Marano, Caivano, Sant'Antimo, Giugliano in Campania, Casandrino, Afragola and Villaricca.
