On Friday 25 June at 19 pm, scholar Massimo Gerardo Carrese, a professional fantasiologist, presents an interactive meeting on the scientific and humanistic, playful and artistic aspects of fantasy, imagination and creativity.

What is fantasiology? Is there a “history of fantasy?” What are the differences between fantasy and imagination? And what is creativity? MASSIMO GERARDO CARRESE is a scholar of fantasiology, a subject to which he has given a methodological form since 2006 and which deals with the scientific and humanistic processes of fantasy, imagination and creativity. Since last June 5, Carrese has resumed his public meetings and is now taking his latest popular show entitled SVIRGOLO, for adults and children, on tour in the towns of Caserta (and from next autumn also in other regions of Italy).

Svirgolo tells the scientific and humanistic aspects of fantasy, imagination and creativity seen through some fantasy games created by the author. They are linguistic, mathematical and artistic games that the author creates to show in a practical way, and with bibliographical references and comparisons with the public, differences and characteristics of the three faculties.

The meeting will be held on Friday, June 25 at 19:30 p.m. in the open spaces of the Hermitage of Santa Maria degli Angeli (via Santa Maria degli Angeli XNUMX, Ruviano), a structure dating back to the XNUMXth century and now a religious hospitality house/hostel, with a church, library and panoramic views of the Telesina valley and beyond. At the end of the meeting, guests will be accompanied by the managers of the structure to visit the Hermitage and taste the typical products of the area.
