The military personnel of the Buccino Forestry Carabinieri Station, following targeted checks to protect the territory near the industrial area of the municipality of Buccino, discovered some piles of waste near a fabric processing company.
Once the investigations into the case were started, the military found that in the square in front of the company there were deposited hazardous and non-hazardous waste, consisting of plastic containers originally containing hazardous and non-hazardous substances, fabric bags containing plastic wrapping, plastic boxes, wooden bases, paper, cardboard, other plastic material, ferrous material.
Furthermore, there were residues from the fabric processing, containers containing colouring substances not otherwise classifiable, polystyrene, a iron box containing the waste from fabric processing, oxidized metal containers originally containing hazardous substances, bituminous insulation in rolls, bricks and rubble, blue plastic containers containing stony material and fabrics. All for a total quantity of approximately 370 cubic meters.
