The singer-songwriter from Campania Jo Del Papato returns with a new recording project
The single “Siviglia,” co-written with Salvatore Tricanico and produced by Gianni Testa for Joseba Publishing, will be available on the radio from June 18th.
“When I started writing 'Siviglia', I gave space to the memories and sensations I felt on this trip, in this wonderful city. This song tells of my desire for summer, for lightness, for fun. All shared with the woman of my dreams, recounting her flaws, her qualities and her beauty. Entering the funky mood of the song was almost natural” - explains the artist.
Jo of the Papacy, approaches music at the age of three, starting to sing the first songs he hears on the radio. At six years old he participates in his first city singing competition "Cantabimbo", ranking first with the song by Massimo Di Cataldo "Se adesso te ne vai". A few years later he discovers the world of black music and falls in love with the music of artists of the caliber of: Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, James Brown, John Legend and many others. Since then he deepens his love for music first by listening and then by studying, starting to study in various music academies.
Over the years he has participated in various regional music festivals (Campania Festival, Eboli Festival, etc.) often ranking in the top positions. In 2012 he published his first EP, with four unreleased songs, three of which were written by Jo Del Papato and two covers. In the meantime he joined his first gospel choir, the “Living Word Gospel project”, and then in 2018 he moved on to the “NonSoloGospel” choir. Also in 2018 he participated in the “Castrocaro Festival“, reaching the semi-finals.

In 2019 he participated in the contest “Giulietta Loves Romeo” in Verona, finishing in third place. In 2020 he published a new unreleased song with the record label “Rosso al Tramonto” entitled “Ho Bisogno di te”. Towards the end of 2020, he began a new collaboration with Gianni Testa’s record label “Joseba Publishing”.
