The assets of the loan shark and money launderer of the Secondigliano Alliance are definitively transferred to the State.
In fact, thanks to the investigations coordinated by the Anti-Mafia District Directorate of Naples, the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples has executed a confiscation order for assets worth 1,3 million euros issued by the Prevention Measures Section of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere against the daughters of the deceased Ciro Giordano, alias “Ciruzzo a Varchetella”.
Giordano is said to have played a leading role in the criminal scenario of Campania since, since the 80s, he is said to have managed the large sums of money of the major Camorra organizations using their own equipment to move it personal accounts.
The economic and financial investigations carried out by the GICO specialists have allowed us to ascertain that, in a limited period of time, the Giordano accounts have been enriched by over 6 billion old lire (reconstruction started in the 80s).
At the same time, the issuing of cheques for large amounts in favour of leading members of Camorra clans, such as Angel Cloud, Lorenzo Nuvoletta, Pupetta Maresca, Pasquale Zaza.
The transversal connection with the major criminal associations in Campania, such as the clans of Casalesi, Contini and other criminal organizations included in the so-called Secondigliano alliance, if on the one hand it would have allowed him to manage huge sums of money destined for usury and money laundering, on the other it would have been detrimental for the Giordano family, achieved in the period from 1987 to 2001 by several seizures, one of which allowed the confiscation of over 30 billion lire held in Italian and Swiss banks.
Le confiscations running today they have come to the end of investigative activities which have led to several precautionary measures against individuals very close to Giordano, pushing him to formally divest oneself of the residual riches, subsequently registered to the daughters in the form of investments and policies.
In particular, the investigations carried out have revealed the total lack of financial capacity of the members of the Ciro Giordano's family nucleus, due to the absence of legitimate sources of income capable of justifying the economic value of the assets accumulated over time.
