Il Mattino reported the incredible news: the yellow sail was reported as a drug dealing area on Google Maps
Google Maps Vela Gialla di Scampia marked as a drug dealing square.
"We must intervene immediately," said Campania regional councilor Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who received reports from several residents who had noticed the problem.
"When we received the report we couldn't believe our eyes, we thought it was a joke or a trap."
But it wasn't a joke, until a few hours ago it was enough to search on Google Maps with the word "piazza di spaccio" on the app and the Vela Gialla of Scampia was geolocalized with the words "Piazza di Spaccio", complete with an icon that is catalogued as a commercial establishment, like a clothing or food shop.

It's incredible that a company like Google doesn't have some system to prevent these situations that have already happened in the past: in fact some time ago on Google Maps the phrase "wash them with fire" was associated with Vesuvius
