Naples 18 year olds with Delta variant
De Luca, taking stock of the Covid emergency in Campania, after revealing that in Naples 18 year olds with Delta variant returning from Palma de Mallorca, he said: "We have 110 positives in Campania, almost all asymptomatic. However - De Luca said - two days ago we had two seriously ill patients, one of whom was 31 years old, who ended up in intensive care. The Delta variant infects in two to five seconds and is particularly aggressive for the youngest".
"We have great concern for the city of Naples, where in recent weeks we have seen great resistance to vaccination. "When the relationship of trust between citizens and the State was broken - adds De Luca - it is clear that people were no longer willing to get vaccinated. Today we are in a serious situation that is still being downplayed, even by the emergency commissioner. Because it is said that there will be 5% fewer vaccinations, instead 40% fewer doses will arrive in July. So the Regions today are not able to do new vaccinations but must limit themselves to doing the second dose for those who have had the first" concludes the governor of Campania.
