Whirlpool workers in Naples staged another strong and resounding protest following the collective layoffs announced by the American multinational.
Since this morning, the Whirlpool blue overalls have been at the Beverello pier, where they have blocked the departures of ferries and hydrofoils headed for the islands.
First, they occupied Naples's tourist port, marching along Molo Beverello. They gathered in Piazza Municipio behind Castelnuovo and, behind a blue banner with the white words "Whirlpool RSU Napoli," they occupied the pier where boats depart for the Gulf islands.
