Spreading joy, making smiles blossom, providing care for the soul. These are the goals of a project of love, Ti Porto Fuori, which saw as protagonists the children hospitalized at the ORN Santobono Pausilipon, Pausilipon Hospital, including the pediatric radiotherapy department of the AOU San Giovanni di Dio and Ruggi d'Aragona of Salerno.
They were given the opportunity of a virtual, real-time tour of the Naples Zoo. An impressive organizational machine, including technicians, video makers, sound operators, tour guides, volunteers, worked in unison to give the children a handful of normality and at the same time break out of their routine in the corridors of the department.
The project, funded by the Open Onlus association, was orchestrated and coordinated by Ara Luxury Events Naples, which has always been involved in organizing events with social utility. Great applause goes to the Naples Zoo for having opened its spaces for free for the realization of the tour, entirely filmed backstage, in direct contact with the stars of the zoo: the animals!
"When in 2013 the owners of the Naples Zoo decided to restore the structure – says Peppe Viola, director of the Zoo – they did it to recover a piece of history that belonged to every child in the city. Thinking that there are 5-year-old children who cannot see a lion or a giraffe up close hurts the heart. With this experience we succeeded and it was also beautiful for us to live and share their emotions".
Human resources were also made available to the project, without which the tour would not have been possible. We are talking about the environmental hiking guide of Camminamente Trekking, Viaggi e visite guidate, who introduced the little visitors to the world of animals. The support and total availability of the staff of the Naples Zoo was a precious gift. Not to mention the loving dedication shown by the volunteers.
We thought about creating something special for them, filming behind the scenes, where only the keepers have access. This is to get more emotional and meaningful shots, as well as to give the children an idea of the interaction that takes place between the staff and the animals.
All together for a smile, to build bridges of solidarity that help overcome moments of distrust and discouragement. An example of immense greatness of spirit and sensitivity towards a reality that exists and must be supported.
This is a project that should be emulated, copied, spread. The invitation is to those who enjoy the possibility of having recreational facilities that can act as a spur to the imagination and joy of these little heroes, to contact Luxury Events of Naples to try together to donate other smiles!
Thanks to: the owner of the Naples Zoo Francesco Floro Flores, the general manager Giuseppe Viola, the zoological curator Fiorella Saggese, the marketing director Pasquale D'Alessandro and all the keepers who opened the doors of the Zoo backstage for the realization of the wonderful close-up shots taken in cooperation with the environmental hiking guide Mimmo Licciardiallo and the video operator Raffaele Silvestri.
