The Art of Encounter, is a pleasant book to browse, read and reread, this one by Maria Cuono: strong in her passion and her many experiences in the field of communication, Maria takes us on a deeper understanding of the many characters in the entertainment industry that she has met from 2007 to the present day. Interviews that leave their mark because they are conducted with sensitivity and attentive participation: in this way we go "beyond the character" that we know and appreciate on the stage, on the screen, and the human side that brings him closer to us comes out. From Alessandro Haber to Simona Marchini, from Nino D'Angelo to Rocco Papaleo, from Carmen Giardina to Luisa Corna, from Luca Manfredi to Giuliana De Sio, from Daniela Poggi to Luca Lupoli, there are twenty-two artists approached in this collection of interviews.
We talk mostly (but not only) about theatre, an ancient art form that today deserves much more attention from institutions but also from the public; what better occasion, then, than an excellent book of interviews, to better approach a world that most people know only superficially?
As Luisa Corna and Carmen Giardina also underline in their prefaces, for an artist talking about his work also means talking about his life, and Maria Cuono manages to make people share very important and profound reflections, thanks to her empathy.
There is great and solid passion in these pages, and it is all there. Every reader will certainly feel it, and perhaps, when he closes the last page, he will be even more motivated to personally attend theatrical and musical performances.
