As part of the territorial control activities of the operation “Strade Sicure” of the “Campania” group of the Italian Army based on the “Guide” Cavalry Regiment (19th), 385 patrol services were ensured in the past week and the following operational results were recorded: 03 fires, 148 people identified of which 14 reported at large, 141 vehicles checked of which 17 seized.
In particular, on 23, 24, 25 and 27 August 2021, the army intervened on the beginnings of fires with the subsequent arrival of the firefighters and police forces in the municipalities of Scafati (Na), Acerra (Na), Nola (Na), Giugliano in Campania (Na), San Tammaro (Ce). Control activities were also carried out on the territory for the illegal dumping of waste, in the localities of Naples and Caserta, where they saw the discovery of abandoned cars on 26 August in Villa Literno (Ce) and waste dumping in flagrante on 25 August in the municipality of Casal di Principe (Ce).
