'Campania by night': theatrical visits and music from September 3rd

Part, the September 3th, The "Campania by Night“, a project for the enhancement and promotion of cultural heritage which includes a series of evening events at the sites of the Archaeological park di Pompei, Villa Arianna e Villa San Marco in Stabia, Villa of Poppea a Oplontis e Villa Regina a Boscoreale and Archaeological Museum of Stabiae Libero D'Orsi,

Friday 3 is Saturday September 4th at Villa San Marco dramatized visit “Stabiae Liberata - Libero Above“, dedicated to the figure of Libero D'Orsi.

Starting from the personal story of the famous headmaster of Castellammare, passionate since childhood about the world of archaeology, up to his rediscovery of Stabiae. His school years, the eruption of 1906, the rescue of the displaced, his educational path, his 'getting lost' and his wandering for twenty years from school to school around Italy and his 'finding himself' with the return to Stabia and the fulfillment of his destiny, of his enterprise.

Friday 10 e Saturday September 11 instead it will be the turn of Villa Arianna with the theatrical visit “Stabiae Liberata – Free Under“. The show will focus on the man Libero D'Orsi rather than on his events: the man of letters and philosophy that D'Orsi was. The theme of the villa itself, the myth of Ariadne and the Labyrinth will give us the key to understanding his destiny, they will be the mirror that reflects his story in another light, thus revealing the poetry preciously enclosed in his soul, the guiding spirit of his existence.

A Oplontis (Annunziata Tower), from September 5th and for the following two Saturdays (11 and 18 September) guided tour of the Villa of Poppea "The Memoirs of Oplontis”By Vincent Liguori, with the help of apps, smartphones and QR codes by ShowLabs.

Visits to the Villa Regina of Boscoreale followed by the concert of Giuseppe Di Capua Navy Brown e Pepper Lapusata starting from Sunday 12 September, and the following ones 19 e September 26th. After a visit led by an archaeologist to the ancient Roman farm among the rooms dedicated to the transformation of agricultural products, with a particular predilection for winemaking, and to their conservation, an immersion in Neapolitan music rich in theatricality and unforgettable melodies with Parthenoplay.

THE1, 2, 8, 9 October at Archaeological Museum of Stabiae Libero D'Orsi dramatized visits entitled “Stories of men“, with actors who will tell and interpret the stories of the men who inhabited the Roman villas of ancient Stabiae, through written testimonies and the suggestions of the finds exhibited along the tour route. The Museum houses numerous finds, some never before exhibited in Italy, including frescoes, opus sectile floors, stuccos, sculptures, terracottas, tableware, bronze and iron objects, some of which were already housed in the Stabian Antiquarium, set up in the city center by Libero d'Orsi and closed to the public since 1997.
