This afternoon, the Caserta State Police proceeded to arrest a Romanian citizen, born in 1950, for the fire started on Mount Tifata.

The operators on duty controlling the territory of the Flying Squad of the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue of the Caserta Police Headquarters have tracked down the man, spotted while feeding the fire with brushwood, in proximity of the high flames that were affecting the vegetation surrounding the disused quarries near the locality of “Centopertose”.

The intervention was born from the providential and timely report to the State Police by a citizen, through the emergency number 113The man, already known to the police for previous reports of crimes and for a similar fire caused in the summer of 2017, was taken to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.
