Caserta. Long queues and some protests, especially among season ticket holders, at Reggia of Caserta for this first day in which the Green Pass is required to access, as required by the decree law approved by the government last July 23.

The Bourbon museum was among the first to equip itself, as of this morning, with readers for the vaccination certificate, and this both at the city gate of via Giannone and at the main one in Piazza Carlo di Borbone; at the first, used only for entry to the Park and where preferably season ticket holders enter, most of whom are residents of the capital or neighboring municipalities, there were protests, with a season ticket holder who wanted to enter without Green pass and began arguing with the security staff of the Reggia, so much so that the carabinieri had to intervene.

A woman, also a subscriber who identified herself as a lawyer and in possession of the Green Pass, did not want to show it, believing that the Royal Park was not a museum, but a public space available to the citizens of Caserta. Someone who did not have the Green Pass reluctantly turned back, someone else showed up with a certificate attesting to the performance of swabs. No anti-vax were seen, however.

The lines occurred at the main entrance in Piazza Carlo di Borbone, with many tourists from all over Italy and abroad who waited on average between 30 and 45 minutes to be able to enter, given the delays caused by the presence of the Green Pass reader. Each visitor had to first stop in front of the temperature reader, then in front of the green certificate reader, and then show the ticket; obviously the booking times indicated on the ticket, which must be respected in order to be able to access, were also exceeded.
