Caserta, argues with rival in love and hits him with butcher knife: arrested

Caserta. A meeting between friends suddenly turned into a tragic scenario that resulted in an attempted murder.

This is what happened late yesterday evening in a house on the outskirts of alatri where three people, two men and a woman, had organized a convivial dinner. Suddenly, due to trivial reasons, probably attributable to sentimental interests linked to the woman, a 32-year-old local man, owner of the house and already registered for crimes against property and the person, began to argue with the other man present, a 52-year-old from the province of Caserta also already registered for crimes against property and the person.

The transition from words to deeds was quick and the 32-year-old in the excitement took a butcher's knife of the cleaver type and attacked the opponent outside the house, causing serious injuries to his left forearm.

The Operations Center of the Carabinieri Company of Alatri, alerted by telephone by 112, thanks to the report of a passerby who had noticed the scene, sent the soldiers of the Norm to the place who immediately saw the aggressor in the vicinity of the building, blocking him and preventing him from carrying out further criminal actions.

Following a local search, the officers found and seized the cutting weapon used in the attack. At the end of the formal procedures, the military arrested the 32-year-old in flagrante delicto because he was responsible for "attempted murder" and after having held him in the security cells of the Alatri Company, this morning they took him to the Regina Coeli prison in Rome.

The injured man, in the meantime, was rescued by the personnel of the “118” service and transported to the emergency room of the “F. Spaziani” Hospital in Frosinone, where he was treated and judged curable in 20 days following a “cut wound to the left forearm” and then admitted to the hospital in Alatri.
