San Nicola la Strada. The State Police of Caserta this afternoon he arrested Sebastiano Turiano, born in 1965, of Italian nationality, resident in Misterbianco, in the Catania area, considered responsible for the crime of drug trafficking.
The police operation was carried out as part of a service by the Caserta Flying Squad, set up to combat the phenomenon of drug dealing.
The Policemen of the Flying Squad, after a brief observation carried out near the“San Nicola ovest” service area, on the A1 motorway, detected the presence of a suspicious articulated lorry, so they decided to proceed with a check of the vehicle and the driver; the man immediately showed a certain nervousness that did not escape the attention of the officers.

Considering the considerable size of the vehicle, as well as the numerous platforms transported, consisting of material of an “acidic” nature, it was decided to take the articulated lorry to the Caserta Provincial Fire Brigade Command in order to carry out a thorough search.
The act had a positive outcome as they were found, concealed, among the numerous transported platforms, 25 cartons beige in colour containing green vegetal substance, which was vacuum-packed in transparent bags. Furthermore, in one of the boxes were also found 4 “loaves” of brown solid substance.
