Trenitalia, over 100 thousand people on board the Cilento Line. Positive balance for the service activated on June 13 and which will remain active until the end of August

About 110 thousand people have so far traveled on Trenitalia (FS Italiane Group) regional trains to the towns on the Cilento coast. The Cilento Line service includes 16 connections from Naples to Sapri (including seven fast ones) to visit Cilento, which are added to those already present in Trenitalia's summer offer to the South and Calabria.

Numbers that in July had already registered an increase in attendance compared to last year (+33% of daily travelers compared to July 2020), and which are confirmed in constant growth also in the month of August. Excellent results also for the Cilento Link, the intermodal train + bus connection that allows to connect the railway stations of Ascea and Pisciotta-Palinuro to the beaches of Cilento with a +21% of passengers from 2020 to 2021. A success that has pushed Trenitalia to reconfirm it also for the next summer 2022 together with the Cilento Line.

The other intermodal links activated by Trenitalia in Campania are also growing in popularity, especially the Costiera Link (+24% of travellers compared to 2020) which connects the maritime station of Salerno to the towns of Cetara, Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Positano, and the Pompei BusLink (+39% of travellers compared to 2020), with daily connections between the Pompeii station and the archaeological excavations.
