Pescara. Others two prisoners escaped, this morning, from “San Donato” District Prison in Pescara, with the same methods and dynamics as the other two prisoners (1 escapee who escaped a few months ago and 1 one
escaped last year).
The regrettable news is given by Joseph Merola Regional Coordinator FP CGIL Abruzzo Molise – Justice which, without mincing words, asks “the immediate ascertainment of responsibility and the approach of the prison's top brass”.
“It is aberrant and paradoxical – the trade unionist continues – what is happening at the Pescara penitentiary facility, with serious compromises to order and safety also for the public community.

As a Trade Union Organization we have repeatedly denounced various emergency precariousness, of a structural and organizational nature, involving government institutional bodies.
Now it's time to say enough. The situation is at the end of the line and we are worried about continuous reiteration and alterations.
Workers and the prison population – for too long – have been living in conditions of real hardship and we cannot pretend nothing is happening”.
