The water emergency in Afragola, Cardito, and Casoria is nearing a solution. Since Sunday, 160 people have been without drinking water.

In order not to leave citizens without water, temporary solutions such as tankers and by-passes have been implemented which, despite the low pressure, have still allowed many families to use running water”. To update on the water emergency situation that has affected approximately 160 thousand people living in Afragola, Cardito and Casoria since Sunday is Salvatore Iavarone, municipal councilor of Casoria and coordinator of Europa Verde for the Northern area of ​​Naples.

The cause of the stoppage of the supply of drinking water was the break in the regional pipeline in Caivano, in the Pascarola area. “We have made continuous requests to the Region so that – explains the regional councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli – the emergency was managed in the best possible way and the problem solved quickly. Once the water supply is restored, however, it is necessary to carry out checks on the entire water network to avoid any further problems and inconveniences to the population”.
