A Ferragosto free entrance to the museums “Gallerie d'italia”. In Milan. Vicenza and Naples: exhibitions and guided tours.
On August 15th, the Galleries of Italy, the museums of Intesa Sanpaolo in Milan, Vicenza and Naples, will remain open to the public with free admission. The Galleries themselves announced this, explaining that in the Lombard capital the museum will be open from 9.30 to 19.30 with the exhibition “Painting is back. The Eighties, Painting in Italy”, an original look at Italian painting of that decade through a path conceived by Luca Massimo Barbero.
The permanent collections will also be open to the public “From Canova to Boccioni” and “Construction site of the 900” which focuses on a choice of masterpieces of the 1950s-1980s, with works by Fontana, Burri, Vedova, Afro, Dorazio, Schifano, Manzoni.

As regards instead the Galleries of Palazzo Leoni Montanari in Vicenza, will be open from 10am to 18pm with the exhibition “Seeing the Invisible”, a selection of seventy Russian icons from the Intesa Sanpaolo collection exhibited in a renewed permanent installation that leads the visitor to immerse themselves in Russian Orthodox spirituality through a suggestion of images, sounds and scents. One room is dedicated to an interesting dialogue, until July 3, 2022, with the works of the contemporary artist Valery Koshlyakov.
Visitors will also be able to admire a selection of Attic and Magna Graecia ceramics and the 18th century Venetian collection, an authentic journey into Venice of the 700th century with paintings of Look, Longhi, Carlevarijs. The eighteenth-century sculptural group also never ceases to amaze. “The Fall of the Rebel Angels”, amazing pyramid of sixty figures carved from a single piece of Carrara marble, made in the mid-eighteenth century by Augustine Fasolato.
The family activity is scheduled for 11am “Court Tales: In the Kingdom of Dragons”, an animated story for children between 5 and 12 years old inspired by the mythical protagonists of the decorations of the baroque palace.
