Barbara Floridia, Undersecretary of Education and Senator for the Five Star Movement, recalls that "90 percent of school staff have been vaccinated."

"The school community has demonstrated once again that it is up to the task and that it cares about the education and well-being of our students.".

The executive representative adds on Facebook: “Thanking school staff is something I want to do not only remotely, but that I will do from the first days of September by touring the schools of our country. School will reopen in person. Despite everything. Why am I writing despite everything? Because it is clear that there have been and are critical issues, but thanks to the work and the many resources already invested by the Conte government and thanks to the 2 billion recently allocated, School can really start again. With some difficulty. True. Surely the biggest critical issue I found was in the accumulated delay that we absolutely must recover. Delay in the distribution of resources and in the issuing of regulations”.

Floridia continues: "Furthermore, a sore point, concerned the clarity of some rules that I also, punctually and promptly, reported and that we are trying to improve. I believe that the duty of those who love the School is to help and work to overcome the difficulties, if the goal is to make sure that everything works".

The Undersecretary for Education then announces: “I will continue to urge that additional teaching staff be guaranteed until the end of the school year, to split classes. That a tool be provided as soon as possible to easily and quickly control Green passes in schools. That ATA staff be implemented in schools. I will continue to follow the work in the territories. I will continue to lend a hand, to work, to make constructive criticisms and concrete proposals. Or could I do as Salvini and Renzi did with Minister Azzolina: use a biased narrative on School to strike, to destroy? But if we all did this, Italy, not just School, would be in disarray. Fortunately – concludes Floridia – we are different. Our goals are 'high', not 'other'”.
