The answer to this question could be given with the image of the historical monumental fountain of the Scapigliata located on Via Egiziaca in ForkThe fountain erected between 1539 and 1541 is now reduced to a muddy swamp and a garbage dump. Areally sad picture for the neighborhood (for the whole city), in fact not home several residents have turned to the Regional Councilor of Green Europe Francesco Emilio Borrelli to report the outrage.
“We have reported the issue to the Municipality requesting interventions to restore decorum to a historic fountain but we know that this will be another point to bring to the attention of the new administration that will have to roll up its sleeves and work day and night to repair the damage done in the last ten years. Protecting our historic heritage means safeguarding our identity, our culture and also tourism, which we need so much. Let's reflect and anxiously await October”, commented Borrelli
