“There will be no free swabs for the No Vax, we will only accommodate those who cannot get vaccinated for health reasons”.
Thus the Minister of Education, Patricio Bianchi in an interview with 'Il Messaggero', on swabs for teachers. The minister assures “In September we will return to in-person classes. The government has been working towards this goal for months – stresses – we are activating a Plan for large classes, with over 400 million available between school buildings and measures to provide more staff to strengthen skills”.
And to the doubts raised about an opening of the schools with last year's problems explains: "Since the beginning of this government's mandate, we have invested 2 billion euros for a safe return. We have already put 300 million euros in the first support decree, to which are added the resources allocated with the support-bis: 410 million given directly to schools to deal with the health emergency, 500 million for school transportation, 400 million to hire teachers and staff to enhance skills and other resources, 270 million, which will go to local authorities for light construction interventions or to rent replacement spaces for teaching".

And on distance learning "it was the tool available to our teachers to stay connected with students in the most serious moments of the pandemic. It certainly exacerbated difficulties and inequalities already present in our school system, but the legacy it leaves is still a wealth of experiences, even innovative ones, that we must not erase".
