The initiatives organized in the area to observe the most fascinating celestial phenomena and objects of the night sky continue
The month of August, characterized by the presence of the spectacular Perseid meteors, is about to come to an end. However, the season of initiatives organized by the Astronomical Tourism Network in collaboration with tourist facilities and organizations continues, with many new events coming up to discover the beauty and secrets of the stars.
The celestial vault between the months of August and September continues to amaze astronomy enthusiasts thanks to the presence of the gas giants Jupiter and Saturn, the Moon, splendid double stars such as Albireo, the planetary nebulae M57, M27 and the majestic, remote Andromeda Galaxy.
The skies of September will not only be rich in astronomical objects to observe. In fact, September 22nd will be the day on which the September equinox will fall. This phenomenon will mark the beginning of the autumn season for the Northern Hemisphere and the spring season for the Southern Hemisphere from an astronomical point of view.

The days will continue to “shorten” (note: the length of a single day will not change, but rather the hours of light will decrease) until the winter solstice, thus offering a greater number of hours of darkness to keep our noses pointed upwards and enjoy the starry sky.
Stargazing events with Astronomitaly
To experience all these emotions in company, guided by expert operators with professional tools, Astronomitaly has organized numerous experiences in different parts of Italy, from North to South, in collaboration with local partners to enhance the beauty of the territory.
