The former Emir of Qatar landed in Ischia, a fleet of seven yachts aboard a 72-meter pleasure vessel.
Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar from 1995 to 2013 and father of the current Qatari Emir Tamīm bin Ḥamad Āl Thānī, landed at the tourist dock of Marina di Casamicciola, on the island of Ischia.
The emir father arrived in Ischia aboard Um Alhoul, a 72-meter long pleasure vessel accompanied by a fleet of 6 other yachts; waiting for him and his entourage were four cars brought from the mainland and 8 taxis hired on the island.
Since this morning in Ischia the news of the arrival of the important person had spread, whose safety is also being monitored by the men of the island Police station who have been guarding the access to the Casamicciola yacht dock for several hours. No further details are known about the former emir's stay in Ischia, only that he should leave tomorrow.
